My name is Mrs. Mendez and I am thrilled to be your school counselor.  First, I want to take a moment to tell you a few things about me.  I am originally from Haskell, TX.  I attended Lubbock Christian University where I graduated in 2002 with my Bachelor’s Degree.  In 2013 graduated from Sul Ross State University where I obtained a Master’s Degree in Education with a specialization in School Counseling.  I moved to Plains this summer with my husband Jorge, and two children Zachary and Ryleigh.

I look forward this year to working closely with students in the areas of personal, social, and academic development.  My goal as a counselor is to assist students with overcoming barriers that may prevent students from achieving the academic success we always strive for at Plains ISD.
